Steve acquired his first guitar and started taking lessons when he was 8 years old. In his first year of high school he was given his first bass guitar. That's when he first decided that playing bass was his passion. In the late 70's, Steve played in a few local rock-n-roll bands throughout central Massachusetts. After that Steve took a short break and did not resume playing until the early 90's after hearing Steve Earle and Dwight Yoakam. From that point he listened to artist such as Merle Haggard, George Jones, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson to learn as much as he could from those early masters. Then came the opportunity to play with Massachusetts legend, Pete Green. After playing with Pete for a few years, Steve co-founded the country band Cactus. With them, he toured regionally from 1994 to 2001. Steve then filled in with various bands before joining the southern rock, tribute band Cold Train, where he was a solid member from 2006 to 2010. He has had the opportunity throughout his career to have shared the stage with artists such as the Bellamy Brothers, Charlie Daniels Band, Diamond Rio, John Berry, Oak Ridge Boys, The Outlaws and Lonestar just to name a few. As of 2011, Help Wanted is very pleased and proud to have Steve as a member and a huge addition to the band.
